Cleveland Hosts National Law Library Conference

From July 18-21 Cleveland is hosting the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) national Annual Meeting. The conference welcomes thousands of law librarians from across the country to The Land.

CSU Law librarian Laura Ray will be co-presenting “Touchable in Cleveland? Eliot Ness and the Kingsbury Run Torso Murders” at the conferece. The program will look at the notorious local Torso Murders in light of modern forensics. It will also discuss the prime suspect’s political connections and the burning of the Kingsbury Run shanty town.

In connection with the AALL Baseball Caucus, Laura has also organized a tour of Progressive Field and a visit to the ballpark as the Guardians take on the Twins.

CSU Law librarians Lisa Smilnak and Amy Burchfield will be taking a group of AALL attendees on a tour of the CSU Law school and library.
