Angelin Chang Selected for Leadership Music 2020 Class

photo of Angelin ChangAngelin Chang, Professor of Law and Professor of Music (Piano), has been selected to the 2020 Class of Leadership Music, a nonprofit educational organization that provides “programs designed to further communications and understanding among facets of the entertainment business and to assist established leaders in their roles as decision makers.”  The 2020 Class will engage in a robust 8-month program that includes “on-site visits around the community, focusing on Songwriting/Publishing, the Artist, Production, Record Company, Live Music and Media.”  Leadership Music is in its 30th year, with over 1,100 alumni from the record industry and music organizations, as well as songwriters, musicians, engineers, agents, producers and distributors.  With C|M|Law, Professor Chang teaches Representing the Musical Artist, and has served on the faculty of the Great Lakes Sports and Entertainment Law Academy.  With the Department of Music, Professor Chang is also Coordinator of Keyboard Studies and Coordinator of Chamber Music.  She received a 2006 Grammy for Best Classical Performance-Instrumental Soloist (with orchestra) for her recording of Olivier Messiaen’s Oiseaux Exotiques (Exotic Birds) with the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, conducted by John McLaughlin Williams.
