Librarian Focus: Amy Burchfield

Amy Burchfield is the Head of Research and Instructional Services at the C|M|Law Library. She’s been with the law library since July 2007. Prior to working at C|M|Law, Amy worked as a librarian at the Georgetown University Law Center and at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Amy has a J.D. from the Moritz College of Law, an M.A. in German translation, and an M.L.I.S. from Kent State University.

In her day to day work, Amy oversees research, reference, and instructional services to faculty, students, and public patrons. She also participates in classroom research instruction. Amy has been active in the Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries (ORALL), where she has served on committees, presented at conferences, and written for the association newsletter.

Besides being a librarian, Amy has worked as a back-of-the-book indexer, an English teacher overseas, and a German instructor. Amy shares a cozy condo with her husband, two cats, a bearded dragon, and an axolotl named Steve.
