“The Other Guys” HeinOnline CONTEST

Thanks to all who participated in our HeinOnline Demos and read our blog posts about HeinOnline!  Now is the time for our HeinOnline contest the winner will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.

Here are the rules:

9/28 “Finding Ohio Cases & Statutes” Seminar

image of laptop, book & writing tabletThe Finding Ohio Cases & Statutes in Bloomberg Law, Lexis Advance & Westlaw Law Library Research Certificate Seminar is Wednesday, September 28th, 4:30pm-5pm, in Law Library Room A059.

Here are key points about the Law Library Research Certificate Seminars this Fall 2016 semester:

  • Law Library Research Certificate Seminars are for C|M|Law students, including MLS/LLM students.
  • You do not need to register to take a Seminar –  simply come to the Seminar(s) you want to attend.  We take attendance at each Seminar, to be sure you are credited points as you earn them.
  • Each of the Seminars will take place on Wednesdays, in Law Library Room A059.
  • We are offering several 30-minute Seminars, and a couple 60-minute in-depth Seminars.  Many of the Seminars will concern Westlaw, Lexis Advance, and Bloomberg Law.
  • You earn 12.5 points for attending a 30-minute Seminar, and 25 points for attending a 60-minute Seminar.  Your Seminar points are good for the entire time you are here at C|M|LAW.  [You cannot earn points for attending the same Seminar twice.]
  • When you earn 100 points, you are awarded a Law Library Research Certificate, and you can earn multiple Certificates.
  • If you earn a Certificate within the 2016-2017 academic year, you will be entered into a drawing for a $150 Amazon gift card!

  • October 19, 4:50pm-5:50pm – Bluebooking
  • October 26, 4:50pm-5:50pm – Terms & Connectors Searching
  • November 2, 4:30pm-5pm – BCite (ie, Bloomberg Law’s Citator)
  • November 9, 4:30pm-5pm – Shepard’s
  • November 16, 4:30pm-5pm – KeyCite
