New Article Published by Professor Falk

scales of justice by johnny_automaticProfessor Patricia Falk has published a new article, Husbands Who Drug and Rape Their Wives:  The Injustice of the Marital Exemption in Ohio’s Sexual Offenses, 36 Women’s Rights Law Reporter (Rutgers School of Law Newark) 265-309 (Spring/Summer 2015). Resources in Our Collection Related to the Kent State Massacre – 46 Years Ago Today

candleThe Kent State massacre occurred at Kent State University on May 4, 1970.  It involved the shooting of unarmed college students by the Ohio National Guard. The guardsmen fired 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others, one of whom suffered permanent paralysis.

Some of the students who were shot had been protesting the Cambodian Campaign, which President Richard Nixon announced during a television address on April 30. Other students who were shot had been walking nearby or observing the protest from a distance.
