National Library Week: April 10-16 2016

This week is National Library Week! This year’s National Library Week theme is Libraries Transform, reminding all Americans that today’s libraries are not just about what we have for people, but what we do for and with people. Increasingly, libraries are places of creativity where people can meet to share a hobby, use a 3D printer, edit a video, or use software to record their own music. Libraries offer access to the tools, technology and training essential to the economic and cultural lives of their communities.

The C|M|Law Library is transforming too! We are in the process of a re-design of the classroom in A059 to be completed soon. On the horizon for the future we will be adding a learning commons area to the library. We are continuing to add to our collection with ebooks and study aids via Overdrive, flashcards available for checkout, and new databases such as the U.S. Supreme Court Records and Briefs database. This database contains briefs and related documents from Supreme Court cases between 1832 and 1978.

As libraries throughout the world continue to transform to serve their patrons, the C|M|Law Library will continue to do the same for our patrons.
