Recent Case: Blindly Using Will Form Leads to Unwanted Results

Forms are very useful for legal drafting.  The law library has an entire guide on how to find legal forms.  However, you should always understand the law behind the form, update the form if needed, and tailor it to the fact situation. For a recent case illustrating the problems with Do it Yourself Wills, see the Probate Lawyer Blog, Recent Florida Probate Case Illustrates Problems with DIY Wills.  While the case involved a non-lawyer using a form, lawyers must also be careful of blindly using a form without critical analysis.
