Get Your Move On To Combat Law School Stress

Getting a little exercise can be a great way to combat law school stress. And it certainly doesn’t have to be “official” exercise, although that’s good, too. If you only have a few minutes at lunchtime or between classes for some impromptu exercise, try walking the Innerlink. The Innerlink here on campus has lots going for it: you stay out of the cold, you can get your steps in, you can walk a good mile on it before you even realize it, and you can get away from the law building and see other students on campus.

If you have a little more time, the Recreation Center has just about everything you’d want for a fitness break from the law school daily routine. You can find group fitness classes for yoga, circuit training, cycling, TRX, Pilates, Zumba, water aerobics, kickboxing, and more. If you prefer working out on your own, there are plenty of cardio machines, weight lifting equipment, and an Olympic size swimming pool. If what you really want is just some good relaxation, you can schedule a massage for 30, 60 or even 90 minutes.

Finding some time for exercise – even if it’s just a short walk or a half hour at the Rec – can really help you relax and feel good about law school. Give it a try!
