CSU Hosts Digital Commons + Great Lakes User Group 2017 Meeting

Cleveland State University hosted the 2017 Digital Commons + Great Lakes User Group (DC+GLUG) annual meeting in the Student Center Ballroom on July 28. More than 40 librarians who use Bepress’s Digital Commons to host their Institutional Repositories (IRs) came from as far as the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and the University of Iowa. Participants presented on various IR topics, including digital special collections, faculty-assisted IR submissions, and marketing Digital Commons collections.

The meeting concluded with a presentation from a Digital Commons representative, who explained new and upcoming features that will be provided within the platform, such as search improvements, streaming media, and a ‘Contact’ button on professors’ profiles so that they can be contacted quickly and easily if a reader is interested in learning more about their research.
