The full text of the Ohio Revised Code is available online for free at http://codes.ohio.gov/. This site is maintained by LAWriter LLC, an online legal research service company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. LAWriter provides an unannotated version of Ohio’s statutes. Updates to the Ohio Revised Code are typically published 24-48 hours after codification. You can access the LAWriter site from the Ohio Legislature’s page by clicking on “Ohio Codes” under the “Laws” tab, or by visiting codes.ohio.gov.

There are a few options for locating statutes on LAWriter. You may browse the table of contents and click on the title, and then chapter, to narrow your browsing. If you already know what section you are looking for, you can use the “Go To” box and enter the section number. If you do not know which section you are looking for, then use the Search box instead. You can run a keyword search, and use terms and connectors to narrow your search. Click on the “help” button located under the Search box to learn more about browsing and searching on LAWriter.

LAWriter also features the full text of the Ohio Administrative Code, but does not include the Ohio Constitution (source: Ohio General Assembly).
