Add Authority to Your Seminar Paper or Note by Citing to Key Legal Scholars

When you write a seminar paper or law review note, it often helps to bolster your thesis with the thoughts of leading legal scholars. But who exactly are these great legal minds and how do you figure out what they’ve written? One way to do this is to use HeinOnline’s Most-Cited Authors feature, which is available inside the Law Journal Library at the browsing level. This features lets you know how many times a certain author has been cited in other articles – a good indication of how important they are as scholars. For example, legal scholar Cass Sunstein has been cited in over 19,400 articles, and he has 257 articles available in HeinOnline. You can access all of Sunstein’s articles in HeinOnline by clicking on his name. For the top 100 list of most-cited legal scholars, see the HeinOnline Blog post Most-Cited Authors – 2013 Edition.
