Fall 2010 Semester Research Certificate Seminars

The Law Library is pleased to present its Research Certificate Seminars this Fall Semester 2010 for your learning pleasure.   All of the Seminars will take place on Thursdays, 4:50pm-5:50pm, in Room A059, in the Law Library.   To register for a Seminar, please contact Laura Ray, Educational Programming Librarian, 216-687-6880, laura.ray@law.csuohio.edu.

Here is the complete listing of Fall Semester 2010 Seminar dates, topics, and registration deadlines:
*September 30th — Scholarly Writing — register by September 28th
*October 14th — Ohio Legal Research — register by October 12th
*October 28th — WestlawNext — register by October 26th
*November 4th — Research Strategies — register by November 2nd
*November 11th — Health Law Research — register by November 9th

Seminar attendance is limited to 20 students, so make your reservations as soon as possible.   Attendees of each Seminar will earn 25 points toward a Law Library Research Certificate.  Certificates will be awarded to students with 100 Seminar points.

Research Certificate Seminars discuss research materials and resources critical to successful legal practice and scholarly writing, as well as focus on research skills law firms and courts are seeking when hiring associates and clerks.   Presented by our team of research librarians, the Seminars offer a unique forum for students to learn more about specific research topics.
